Enter a new era of intelligent, upscale jeans wear with Jack & Jones this Summer/Autumn 07. Starting with a clean and lean look that's sleek and slim-fit. Plus an Indie utility approach where checks are the new stripes as a trait worth tracking. And then there's the digital genes look, with vector graphics and pixilation as an artistic expression of your individuality.
Clean silhouettes have always been seen as Scandinavian, but the slim jeans from Jack & Jones take this streamlined look to the global arena. Looking quite cool in a rock 'n' roll setting, blazers are cropped, shirts and polo collars are smaller and the sweat ribs are shorter. Statement t-shirts add an edge, and fold up sleeves bring a bit of attitude. It's back to basics, but with ultra simplicity. Jackets see a tighter weave, and carbon brush is what makes tees and sweats have a soft peach touch. Whether informal or buttoned up, shirts look neat and discrete.
Jack & Jones continues with an Indie utility approach this autumn. Classics are revisited and revised, such as hounds tooth as a pattern from body warmers to boxers. A cool check from a vintage New York shirt makes its way onto shirts as an all-over print, and is used inside text prints. Oil wash on tees, coating on jeans and washed leather jackets ensure an effect that's laid back but luxurious. Slip on a mélange jersey tee, throw on a scarf and enjoy bomber jackets with metal pullers and eyelets for your MP3 player. Colours are clean, as seen in velvet blue and rusty red for an urban look you can't help but like.
The style swings to digital genes, where the look is artistic, and prints are more like photocopy pixilation. The photo print technique is a key trend this season, inspired by the kinds of items you'd find in a scrapbook. The graphics are dramatic, using scribbles, retro Dymo writing and stencils for style statements. Apple green and velvet blue bring contrast to variations on grey, black and white. Windbreakers are worn over tees which see full-frontal vector graphics. Grey jeans have a subtle sheen, and knits are even nicer with repeated patterns that appear like an optical illusion - except they're real.
At Jack & Jones, indigo is in our blood. We continue to innovate authentic solutions to what initially began as jeans, and has since become a fashion phenomenon of more than merely jeans. Jeans wear has evolved into a cultural icon of all things cool. Have a look at our Summer and Autumn 07 collection in Richmond Centre and you'll soon see why. www.jackjones.com Opening
